- God did not create the concept of "meetings"
- Ordination was a great event. Kevin was moved by all the friends and family that showed up to celebrate with him. It was my deep joy and privilege to be one of those asked to come forward and lay hands on him as we ordained him an Elder in the UMC. God bless your ministry, Kevin.
- Bishop Palmer from Iowa gave a rousing sermon at ordination. I won't share any of the lines here 'cause they're fodder for several sermons to come.
- It's always good to see friends. Annual conference has the side benefit of allowing you the opportunity to share fellowship with people you don't see very often. That makes the meeting time worthwhile.
- Larry, from Good Shepherd, was the first lay person elected to attend the General Conference in Fort Worth next year. That is a great honor that comes with a great deal of work. May God bless Larry as he prepares to lead this group of 16 clergy and lay people to the quadrennial meeting of world-wide United Methodists.
- Jai and Ken made an hour long presentation at during the conference that was extremely well received. Naturally, I had to miss it to be at a practice for ordination, but by all reports the material was a hit. Way to go Jai and Ken!
Well, it's midnight, time for bed. May God be in your heart and your mind and guiding your every step.

I like one of John Wesley's rules for meetings "Start on time and end on time."
