Praying for Comprehension

I sure loved worship yesterday. It's always great to see a full crowd and to experience great music. Thanks to the whole team for making it an inspirational Sunday.

In the sermon I mentioned that we tend to have a very small view of God. Our image of God is often very limited. It's when we read the Bible, make a study of it, and pray over what we've learned that our image of God grows and we begin to comprehend the depth and breadth of the God we serve.

The sermon points were taken from 1 Timothy 1:12-17
Get in the Word
Get it in your Head
Get on your knees

Sunday by the Numbers:
Worship Attendance = 515 (the third highest Sunday of 2007, after Palm Sunday and Easter)
Sunday School Attendance = 188 (second largest so far in 2007)
Baptised William Wells
Gave out Bibles to 20 fourth graders in attendance

What a great day!!!

Songs:
Meet with Me
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking for (U2)
(Tough song to do but the band pulled it off as usual)
Blessed be the Name
Lord's Prayer music Video
Show Me Your Glory (Third Day)
In the Middle of Me

God is Good, All the Time

I enjoy reading your blog. It's a good way to reflect on the Sunday service and live out what I heard. It gets hard to "keep the faith" during the week and your blog is a good way to "fill 'er up." Thanks for faithfully writing in it.
