We're in the second week of our Cultivate sermon series. Using the Fruits of the Spirit from Galatians 5 we're working on becoming more like Christ in our lives. While you'll note that Sunday ought to be a sermon on Joy, we're mixing things up a bit, going out of order. Why? Well we just do things that way around here.
Sunday's sermon title will be "No Grapes of Wrath Here." John Steinbeck's book, nearly by the same name, is a good backdrop as it illustrates, at least in the end, a sense of hope in the midst of hopelessness. I'm going to set Kindness as the opposite of Wrath in this message. Wrath is anger born out of hate and loathing. Kindness is active care born out of hope and love.
Our scripture for the day will be James 1:19-21. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
