Healthy Lifestyle? Here's a twist

I just heard on the radio this morning that the average person in prison will live 10% longer than out of prison. I also heard that isn't true of African Americans. The imprisoned African American will live 57% longer in prison.
So I asked myself why?
  • Free healthcare
  • Healthy meals
  • Low stress levels. (Alright, I'll admit there is nothing great about being in prison, though I've never been there. But let's face it, no bills to pay, no job to hold down or long hours to work, no family to care for, no worries about repairing the refridgerator and shoveling the driveway, etc.)
  • 1 Hour of Daily exercise

I'm sure the list could be a lot longer.

Now let's be clear, I'm not advocating prison time. But what if we sought out the contributing factors above; free health care, healthy diet, lowered stress levels, and exercise? Wouldn't be all be a bit more healthy?
