Disconnected

Recently I've come across a couple of videos that I think are worth your review.

The first is a link to a blog post by Bishop William Willimon of Alabama. Bishop Willimon was a well respected author, teacher and preacher before becoming a United Methodist Bishop. In this post and attached video he talks about how his conference is working to put the right preachers with the right churches. This is not a representative of how Bishop Schnase of Missouri is making clergy appointments, but I suspect he is looking at Willimon's new model. Enjoy:

The second video is a YouTube post by the sometimes outrageous Penn Gillette. Penn, of Penn and Teller fame, is an avowed atheist but I thought this quote was amazingly true and incredibly fitting. Especially the part where he says... "If you believe that there's a heaven and hell and people could be going to hell... how much do you have to hate somebody to not proselytize?" Wow, I'm more impressed by what this atheist has to say about evangelism than most evangelists today.
Watch this...
